Learning that dentures may be necessary, or experiencing denture related problems often leave people feeling bewildered with many questions and concerns.

If this situation applies to you or someone you care about we suggest you see a registered Denture provider.

Clinical Dental Technicians or CDT’s are the newest addition to the Dental Team. In order to provide Dentures to the public they must be qualified and registered with the General Dental Council.

A CDT is devoted to the fabrication and repair of Dentures, and provides a cost effective and time effective service.

Wessex Denture Studio was launched early in 2007 to provide this exceptional service to the people who have lost natural teeth. Our wide range of Dental materials and systems, combined with the talent of our Dental team has helped improve the appearance, daily function and confidence of many people.

Clinical Dental Technicians may see fully edentulous patients (those with no natural teeth) without the need of a referral] from a Dentist.

In the case of partial Dentures, patients may only see a clinical Dental Technician once they have obtained a written treatment plan and oral health check from a Dentist.

It is for this reason Wessex Denture Studio has routes of referral to a number of Dentists, so that if you do not have one, we can refer you. Your Dentist can also refer you to a Clinical Dental Technician.

Complete Dentures are fabricated once you have lost all your natural teeth. (Edentulism) whether be from disease, tooth decay or injury.

Loss of all natural teeth reduces the quality of your life, self image and daily functioning.

Complete dentures replace all missing teeth and help correct your speech, return a natural smile, support your lips and the function of daily eating, allowing you to enjoy your favourite foods.

All teeth provide support for your muscles of facial expression and help to enhance your appearance.

Full Dentures are constructed by using plastic teeth of various moulds; shades and sizes set into gum coloured plastic called acrylic.

This acrylic can be moulded shaped and contoured with staining to look like natural gum tissue.
